Russell Hymas Named One of the 10 Best Personal Injury Attorneys in Utah for Client Satisfaction — 2026

The American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys (AIOPIA) has selected Russell Hymas of Good Guys Injury Law for its 2026 list of the 10 Best Personal Injury Attorneys in Utah dedicated to Client Satisfaction — an independent recognition based on client reviews, peer nominations, and rigorous third-party evaluation.

AIOPIA 10 Best — 2026 Client Satisfaction State of Utah Independent Selection

For Russell Hymas and the entire team at Good Guys Injury Law, this recognition is meaningful for one reason above all others: it comes from how our clients say they were treated when they needed help the most.

DRAPER, UTAH — May 15, 2026. Good Guys Injury Law is proud to announce that founding partner Russell Hymas has been independently selected by the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys (AIOPIA) as one of the 10 Best Personal Injury Attorneys in Utah for Client Satisfaction in 2026. The honor recognizes attorneys who have achieved significant success in the field of personal injury law without sacrificing the service, communication, and care they provide to the clients who trust them.

This selection adds to a body of recognitions earned by the firm over the years, including being named a "Best Utah Personal Injury Law Firm" by U.S. News & Best Lawyers, Top Personal Injury Attorneys by Super Lawyers, members of the National Trial Lawyers Top 100, and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. But Russell Hymas is quick to point out the distinction that matters: the AIOPIA award is built on what clients themselves say.

What the AIOPIA "10 Best for Client Satisfaction" Award Means

The American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys is a third-party attorney rating organization that publishes an annual list of the top 10 personal injury attorneys in each state. To be selected to the "10 Best" list, an attorney must pass AIOPIA's selection process, which is based on client and peer nominations, independent research, and AIOPIA's own evaluation.

The defining feature of this particular honor is the emphasis on the client experience. AIOPIA places its primary weight on the relationships an attorney builds with the people they represent, and on the reputation they have among those clients. In their own words, the institute focuses on "selecting lawyers who have achieved significant success in the field of personal injury law without sacrificing the service and support they provide."

In a profession where many firms compete on advertising volume, this is an award that cannot be bought. It is earned by the everyday work of treating injured Utahns the way they deserve to be treated.

Why Client Satisfaction Has Always Been Our Standard

Good Guys Injury Law was built on a deliberate choice: we do not run a high-volume, every-case-that-walks-through-the-door practice. Instead, we limit the number of cases we accept so that every client we represent gets the personal attention, communication, and advocacy they need after an accident.

That choice shapes everything we do:

Founding partner Ken Christensen knows the client side of this equation personally. Before he ever attended law school, he was injured in a car accident and dealt with the insurance system on his own. He saw firsthand how the deck is stacked against people who have never been through it before — and he built this firm to even the odds.

In Our Clients' Own Words

The AIOPIA recognition reflects what our clients have been telling us for years. These are some of the voices behind the award:

★★★★★ "I always felt that they understood the needs of not just myself as I healed, but that of my family as we dealt with a very stressful year. My wife and I cannot thank you enough!" — T. Andersen, Good Guys Injury Law client
★★★★★ "Whatever it is that you've gone through — they want to make it right. They're just good guys. They really are!" — P. Eads, Good Guys Injury Law client
★★★★★ "They were a light for me in a really tough time." — S. Sandmire, Good Guys Injury Law client
★★★★★ "They are very professional, yet very personal." — C. Darger, Good Guys Injury Law client
★★★★★ "The entire team is professional, courteous, and responsive." — Chris C., Good Guys Injury Law client

Reviews like these are the foundation of an award like this one. They are also why we say, in our firm's own words: we see more than just your accident — we see you.

About Russell Hymas

D. Russell Hymas is a founding partner of Good Guys Injury Law and a recognized Utah personal injury attorney. Russ and his law partner, Ken Christensen, met on the first day of law school in San Diego — two Utahns who, as Ken puts it, saw in each other "a rare combination in the law: intelligence, determination, and compassion." Together they built a firm dedicated exclusively to representing injury victims hurt by another party's negligence.

Russ has helped author Utah legislation to protect accident victims and hold insurance companies accountable. He has co-written The 7 Biggest Mistakes That Can Wreck Your Utah Accident Case, a free resource for accident victims across the state. He has been recognized as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer and a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a distinction reserved for attorneys who have secured million-dollar-plus verdicts and settlements for their clients.
