Products Liability & Malfunction FAQs

When Can I Make a Claim?

A products liability/malfunction case must be made within two years after the first issue is experienced, regardless of whether the customer knows the cause or not.

When Is a Product Considered Liable?

When it is recognized as being “unreasonably dangerous” at the fault of the designer, manufacturer, or distributor.

What Can Prevent Me from Making a Claim?

Waiting too long can prevent a claim; seek out the cause the first time that your product malfunctions or puts you in a dangerous position. Also, alterations to the product after its purchase which may have contributed to any harm experienced will prevent the manufacturer or seller from being held liable.
